About Me
The band was formed in London by Marc Olivier (Vocals/Guitar) and Simon Nelson (Bass/Backing Vocals) under the name ‘Plastic Heroes’ - a reaction against the surge of generic sounding (and looking) indie groups and today’s celebrity-obsessed culture. “A rock star, a pop star…???. I never saw them as real heroes compared to what some people do in their lives. I see them more as the plastic version of a hero, the kind that can break quite easily” – Marc Olivier. They unleashed their blend of stylish New Wave rock with a hint of French pop on the capitals coolest venues. The band quickly earned a reputation for compulsive live shows that swaggered with wit, energy and a set full of unforgettable songs. After self-released British & European singles, supported by extensive touring, Plastic Heroes release their first long player ‘Escape The Lower End’ - a twelve track album produced by Marc Olivier, mixed by Sami Yaffa (New York Dolls/Hanoi Rocks) and mastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios. Plastic Heroes' unique sound reflects London / New York / Berlin, disaffection and love affairs, combining hooky guitar riffs, biting bass lines and watertight drums. Their songs are infused with the spirit of the Plastic’s own heroes - a list inclusive of the greats from every era. • Three well received self released singles (Dust Records) Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text.
